Comité de suivi individuel
The Individual Monitoring Committee (CSI): role and composition
The student’s CSI is composed as follows:
- CSI members are not involved in supervising the PhD student’s work.
- 2 persons for the duration of the thesis.
- At least one CSI member must hold HDR certification to direct research.
- The doctoral school strongly recommends that at least one committee member be chosen from outside the PhD student’s host laboratory or registration institution.
The progress report must be completed by the PhD student and addressed to the Thesis Supervisor(s), to the members of his/her Individual Monitoring Committee and (for information purposes) to the doctoral school’s site administrator no later than 21 May (and at least one week prior to the meeting between the student and his/her CSI). The Individual Monitoring Committee’s members meet and discuss with the PhD student, fill out the second section of the report (the CSI recommendation) and transmit the complete dossier directly to the student’s research unit no later than 22 June. The Thesis Supervisor validates the activities, issues his/her reregistration recommendation and transmits the complete dossier directly to the research unit no later than 22 June.
The research unit gathers together and validates all of its PhD students’ dossiers, then returns them to the doctoral school’s site administrator no later than 28 June.
